Dakota Blue Richards is Maria Merryweather

After scouring the globe and conducting an international casting search, Forgan-Smith Entertainment and Spice Factory have finally found the perfect Maria.  Dakota Blue Richards has signed on to play our leading lady in The Little White Horse and we look forward to her joining the shoot in Hungary.  Dakota is set to make her feature film debut in The Golden Compass. 
 
More casting news will follow with the roles of Sir Benjamin, Robin and Loveday yet to be announced!

Gabor Csupo set to direct The Little White Horse

Lucy Shuttleworth and Graham Alborough have written the screenplay for the film of The Little White Horse, retaining the magic of the book while bringing Maria's adventures to the big screen.

 

We are very proud to announce that Gabor Csupo has agreed to direct The Little White Horse.  Starting his career as an animator, Gabor has shown a flair for exciting and original story telling in such films as The Wild Thornberrys, The Rugrats, and his first live-action feature Bridge to Terabithia.  He has also won two Emmys for his work on The Simpsons.

 

The film is going into production in Hungary in Summer 2007.
